A strategist & expert semiotician (MPhil), with a background in brand strategy and innovation, Andrea is known for his ability to combine big picture thinking with practical ‘so what?’ conclusions.

A trainer and speaker on commercial semiotics, Andrea is Visiting Lecturer at Imperial College London and at Central Saint Martins; he has been published in leading marketing publications (incl. Marketing Magazine, The Drum and Admap/WARC). Before setting up Meaning Agency, Andrea headed up the Cultural Insight Unit at leading innovation agency Big Green Door.

An experienced and strategically-minded Brand and Marketing expert with more than 20 years of management and brand consultancy plus industry experience. Previously Founding Partner at Core Purpose, Strategy Director at Big Green Door, and Planning Partner at Ogilvy & Mather London, Michelle has uncovered purpose, developed strategic options, invented new brands and imagined innovation pipelines.

Michelle's ‘client-side’ experience, together with an MBA from London Business School, means she also appreciates the commercial imperatives and implementation issues. With experience across industries and geographies (from Europe to the Nordics, and from Shanghai to Moscow), Michelle comes with a broad, international perspective, backed up with a good smattering of French, German and Swedish.
